INTERN
Summer Fintech Internship Program
Geneva proudly hosts interns from the country’s top STEM programs for 10 to 12 weeks each summer. Our fintech internship program provides a proven path to success, with at least 50% of our interns converting to full-time roles and a 100% offer acceptance rate.
What You Can Expect
Gain invaluable, hands-on learning under the guidance of some of the world’s best traders and leaders in FinTech. You’ll work on trading projects that are directly applicable to the challenges and opportunities at Geneva.
Take control of your career goals by establishing your networking and readiness skills in FinTech. From developing a calculated risk appetite to a collaborative spirit, Geneva offers comprehensive corporate training hosted by industry leaders in Learning and Development.
Experience the power of networking in action. Learn how to grow and nurture connections with networking sessions presented by firmwide leaders across C-suite, Corporate, Tech, and Trading Departments.
Go deep into how trading in the futures industry and proprietary technology intersects to solve complex problems. Gather insights and confidence into how middle and back offices support function and growth in leading global prop trading firms.
Walk the walk with forward-thinking opportunities to shadow trading teams. Attend weekly meetings with manager(s), mentor(s), and campus internship support staff to help you align your growing experiences with your goals.
Strive for excellence with interpersonal development. Start team building and attending cultural engagement experiences unique to Chicago and the Midwest with your internship peer cohort and firm associates.
Confidently develop your communication and networking skills. Showcase your accomplishments and learning experiences gained during your fintech internship program with a final presentation.
Application Process
We’re ready to align with visionary interns who want to advance their personal and career development. Every year, we start recruiting for our summer fintech internship on September 1st. Watch for posted internship roles in Trading, Technology, and Corporate.
Although there are some variances in the number of required interviews and their length, you can expect:
Apply online with your resume through our applicant tracking system. Cover letters are not required, but encouraged if you feel they showcase your talent, experience, and potential.
After reviewing your resume, the hiring team will make a decision about moving forward. If applicable to the role, we’ll also send a technical assessment via HackerRank.
Successful candidates who pass the assessment undergo further review from the recruiting team. Our Campus Recruiter will contact you to set up a 15-minute phone screen to get to know you better as a candidate.
Hiring managers review the phone screen evaluation, assessment score, and application materials. Approved candidates will be invited to interview with Geneva’s mid/senior level members. Trading and technology interviews may also include a live technical interview portion.
Upon the successful completion of first round interviews, candidates are invited to final interviews with a hiring manager. We’ll notify you with a decision within two weeks of your final interview.
